Delightful Dublin
November 21, 2011
Who could visit Dublin and not visit the Guiness Storehouse? You can enjoy the story of the devotion in making this world famous drink and everything held within these 7 floors of history and the design of this building inside and out, especially the Gravity Bar. This bar is where your visit ends and you can sample the taste of Guiness with a complimentary pint. It is the highest bar in Ireland giving a terrific view of Dublin, and you can’t help being impressed.
Step further back in time visiting Dublinia. It tells a story which begins in the 12th century. There is a large-scale model of Dublin in 1500. Have a look at the exhibits, videos and reconstructions which are very interesting.
For restaurants go to Temple Bar, the cultural quarter. There are extraordinary shops, great night spots and much more along the cobbled streets.
For shopping you should go to Grafton Street, Wicklow Street and Henry Street to name but a few. Don’t miss the ILAC shopping centre and Jervis Street shopping centre. O’Connell Street has Clerys Department store, Easons Book shop and loads more. There are just so many great shops in Dublin!
Nightlife is just fantastic here and not to be missed. It’s little wonder that so many visitors arrive here from around the globe. There are Traditional and Modern bars in Dublin. Whatever your taste in music you’ll find it in this delightful city. After the pubs there are nightclubs where you can dance the night away.
